This is the final part of the 4 part series of my Angel Wing canvas tutorial.
In the final instalment I will show you how to add shadows to the wings, and how to bling it up using gold leaf foiling as accent/high-lights on the wings.
Using gold foil is the best way to create a true metallic layer on a project. Although there are a myraid of metallic paints and paint finishes on the market, nothing gives that true metal looking metallic like gold foil. It is not a difficult technique but is sure is messy and a tad sticky! My best advice is to work with with no open windows (yes the foil flakes love to go flying) and to make sure the size is propperly dry before you apply the foil.
Enjoy the video and let me know in the comments what is your favourite metallic product to use.
